We are excited to share that First Choice Early Education Centre is now a Flying Start partner service!
Flying Start is a South Australian Government initiative that provides a preschool program for 3-year-old children, helping to give every child the best possible start to their learning journey.
At First Choice, the program will be delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers and will be built around play-based, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s growth, development and wellbeing.

I completed my Bachelor
of Early Childhood Education in 2019 and
have been working in an Early Childhood setting
ever since. I have worked at First Choice since our
opening day, within the Junior Kindy and Kindy settings
and am excited to be back in the Kindy room after
returning from maternity leave. I have a passion for working alongside children, watching them learn and grow and creating meaningful relationships with them.
I believe children learn best by being provided with
the tools they need to explore their
environment and the world
around them.

I graduated my bachelor
of early childhood in 2022 and have
worked in the industry for the past 8 years. I
have always had a passion for working with children.
After becoming a Mum of two I knew this was the perfect
career for me. I believe all children have a right to be heard and us as educators are here to support and scaffold the learning that is derived from their own interests. If a child is comfortable in the environments around them, learning will happen, therefore we will work together with both the
children and their families to ensure they are
feeling just that, when they join the
FCEEC family!
I started my journey in Early
childhood in 2016, and after taking on a
range of roles I completed my Bachelor of Early
Childhood Education (Honors) in 2024. Throughout my experience and studies, I have developed a belief that as educators, our relationships with children and families are a vital aspect of children’s learning. This enables us to incorporate their life worlds into our teaching and planning to create authentic learning opportunities for children to thrive.
I am also passionate about supporting children to connect
with nature and learn from the natural
environment, and this is embedded in
my pedagogy!
I am very passionate
about early childhood education which is why
I went on to complete a Master of Teaching (birth to
five years) degree after first teaching in primary schools.
I’ve worked in childcare for many years now and have had
opportunities to work with all age groups, and as part of the centre management team as 3IC. Children’s learning is incredibly rapid in
the first years of life and I value how each child will meet key milestones in their own time. I am dedicated to finding different ways to support each child to grow and flourish in all areas of learning and development, through strong, nurturing relationships and also
by offering a variety of environments and experiences that
introduce new ideas and adventures. I look forward to
building a partnership and embarking on
this journey with you!
I am an early childhood
teacher and have been teaching for the
last 3 years across a few different sites in Mount
Gambier. I am currently working at Acacia kindergarten Wednesday to Friday and in February I joined the First Choice team on Mondays and Tuesdays! I am passionate about fostering positive relationships with children to help them feel safe and secure in their learning environment. I view all children as capable and
competent learners and aim to provide learning experiences that support
this.
